As much of the state braces for brutally cold weather over the next few days, Gov. J.B. Pritzker issued a disaster proclamation today to make a wide variety of state resources available to help communities affected by approaching winter storms and record low temperatures.
Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed an order Wednesday, Jan. 23, to join the U.S. Climate Alliance, a bipartisan group of governors who have committed to abiding by the terms of an international climate treaty known as the Paris Agreement, despite the fact that President Donald Trump has withdrawn the United States from that pact.
